I run a fully mobile recording studio based in Penryn near Falmouth, Cornwall. The studio comprises 16 channels of pristine audio based around a top spec macbook pro. I use a mixture of AKG, Rode, Neumann and Beyerdynamic condensor mics.
Monitoring is by way of Dynaudio & Bluesky (5.1 surround), A/D & D/A through Apogee and MOTU.
The studio can be transported to any location, providing high quality digital recordings in up to 24Bit, 192 kHz format.
Natural acoustics are essential for recordings such as for choirs & orchestras. However, where something a bit different is required in the production/and or the recording process, I am happy to oblige with an array of digital and analogue processing and unusual mic-techniques.
I am a trained acoustic consultant specializing in the design of rooms, theatres & concert halls. As such I am able to treat and condition a room to gain the optimum recording acoustic. I can further recommend suitable loc ations for recording locally in the Falmouth area, and advise on any proposed locations that you may like to use.
